The missions strategy of First Baptist Church of Glen Este is based on the scriptural conviction that God desires the local church to be the primary means of sending people to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people throughout the entire world (Acts 8:14-17, 26-29; 9:15-16, 30; 11:22-27; 13:1-4; 14:21-27; 15:22-41; 18:22-23; 21:17-19; Romans 10:13-15).

We believe that the Biblical mandate given the Church by Christ is world evangelization.  World evangelism is the process of making disciples by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ verbally, through presence, persuasion, and perseverance, collectively for the purpose of converting, baptizing, and teaching new converts how to live a Christian life according to Biblical (not cultural) principles and practices within the establishment of national, local, indigenous churches.

First Baptist Church of Glen Este desires to accomplish this great task of evangelization through two avenues:  Local Missions and Global Missions.

Local

Love. In our day, there is no other topic that is more talked about, dreamed about, sung about, and written about than love. Tragically, love is a concept that is massively misunderstood in our culture. God tells us that the ultimate demonstration of love is Jesus coming to take away our sins (1 John 4:10). As Christians, when we are overwhelmed by the love and the grace God has shown us, His love will overflow our hearts and flood the lives of those around us, by sharing the Good News of God’s love for them (1 John 4:11).

We’re excited about the many opportunities we have in place to share the love of God through people just like you – people who want to make an eternal difference with their lives. The opportunities to serve are limitless! We encourage you to prayerfully consider how God can use you.

Fairhaven Rescue Mission
Our volunteers serve dinner to men who might not otherwise get a meal. After meeting the physical need, we strive to meet the spiritual need as well through hosting a chapel service with the men.

Call (859) 491-1027 for volunteer or donation opportunities or visit fairhavenmission.org for more information on how you can help

We serve in a variety of ways through local Christian, pro-life pregnancy centers.

Our faith is stretched as we go downtown to pass out Gospel literature and share our faith one-on-one.

School Supply Giveaway
Donated items are collected and distributed to local families in need. We have a cookout for these families and give them the Gospel.

Quilting Ministry
This women’s ministry provides quilts to victims of sex trafficking.

National Night Out
This annual community event draws a huge crowd. We participate by hosting giant inflatable bounce houses, face-painting, basketball shootout, and more!
