ABF and Worship Services

Dear First Baptist Family,

It has been a long five-plus months since we last had an ABF class, but we are enthusiastically looking forward to restarting them on Sunday, September 13th. We realize that some may have concerns about safety, masks, social distancing, etc. so we want you to know what we have determined to be reasonable guidelines for the ABF restart.

Accommodations are being made regarding social distancing by limiting the number of chairs in each room and spacing them appropriately. As you will notice on the class room assignment list, we are placing classes in rooms that will allow for adequate spacing. On the class list below, you will find your class listed, and it may be in a different room than it was previously. Also, you will notice that we have moved four classes to meet at 5:00 p.m. to provide adequate social-distancing opportunities.

We are asking people to wear masks as they travel through the ABF building hallways to and into their classes. For classes that would like to have coffee, it will be available but not as self-serve. It will be up to each class to decide if they want to serve coffee; in those classes offering coffee, there will be a designated person who will be gloved and masked who will serve the coffee to individuals as needed.

Your cooperation is needed and will be appreciated as we move from the 11:00 a.m. 2nd service time back to the 10:30 a.m. 2nd service time. This new time will reduce the amount of time we will have between services to spray the auditorium with disinfectant, so we are asking those in the first service to exit promptly and those entering for the second service to wait until we open the doors before entering.

We are doing everything we can to strike a balance between “normalcy” and safety and appreciate your patience as we continue restarting.
