Email Message from Pastor Snook to the FBC Family - January 20, 2021

Dear FBC Family,

COVID-19 has certainly caused a lot of change in the past 9 months. Changes in the country, changes in businesses, and even changes in local churches. Whenever there is change, it calls for needed flexibility. We have tried to make decisions at FBC based on safety and yet at the same time strength and courage. I want to ask FBC to again be flexible for yet another change.

For the next several weeks we would like to go back to one service since we are not meeting for Adult Bible Fellowship at the present time. It will allow us to worship safely together since we have a very large auditorium. I believe this is a time that we need to be together and this will allow that to happen. We do want to ask everyone to, again, practice social distancing and for the sake of everyone else, please wear your mask in the hallways of FBC. God’s Word makes it clear that we are to prefer our brothers and sisters above ourselves and, yes, this does call for us to practice this. Please think about the spirit and the heart of the issue at hand.

If you are able, I want to encourage everyone to come back to the services. Would you make every effort to be back in your place this Sunday at 10:00 a.m.? We will be going back for a short time to ONE service at 10:00 a.m. This will be a great opportunity for you to be back in your seat. Of course, we understand if it is unsafe for you to be here in person, please watch online.

Lord willing, I will begin preaching again on February 7th. I will be preaching a series entitled “What I Have Learned Through the Darkest Valley of My Life.” I have much to share. I look forward to being back in the pulpit worshipping with the people Joy and I love.

I want to also let you know that we have a great Missions Conference lined up. It will be different than normal. It will only be one day on Sunday, February 21. We have a great morning lined up. We will be meeting at 9:00 a.m. to have our missionaries share their burden. At the 10:30 a.m. service, we have Guest Speaker Emir Caner. He will be giving his powerful testimony on how God saved him out of a very strict Muslim family background. You do not want to miss that morning. We will gather again on Sunday night at 6:00 p.m. with another missionary emphasis and Emir Caner will be preaching. It will be a great one-day Missions Conference. Put it on your calendar and plan to be in person as we focus on what is most important to our Savior.

I hope you will be in your place this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. to worship together!

In His Love,

Pastor

P.S. Again, remember we will temporarily go back to one service starting this week at 10:00 a.m.
